I have just changed over from Telus and now people that I phone can not see my phone #. Is there a setting that should be checked?
Thank you for the help.
Hi sooner, here's what you do.
Go to the Customer Center
Sign in or create an account and then sign in.
Click the 'Phone' tab on the left once signed in.
Then 'Manage phone features'
Now you will see a 'Go to Phone Portal' button to the right, click that.
Once there you should see tabs on the right side. Click 'Privacy'.
Simply turn of 'Hide number', save, and you are good to go.
I forget they have these great documents here:
Edited: Removed # of tabs and reworded. That will differ depending on which plan features one has.
Hello gamerguy, I went to the page but could not find the "Hide my Phone Number" but did see the "Block Selective, Anonymous and Do Not Disturb". Am I missing something?
What phone package do you have?
I have 'Home Phone Basic' (With the 'Plus' bundle) so assumed these were the, well, basics (under privacy):
Hide my Identity
Hide Name: On/Off Hide Number: On/Off
That is all I see under the 'Privacy' tab. None of what is pictured in the link I provided above comes with my plan.
I wish I had an answer for you but unfortunately I do not. Hopefully a Shaw rep will be along soon to shed some light.
Having just looked at the phone features page, what I have under 'Privacy' is not even listed as features.
Shaw - Phone:Calling Features
So I'm kinda stumped here and I'll leave it to the pros to get you sorted, sorry. I wish it had been as easy as my above method. Should have been. (My opinion of course.)
We may have to adjust your call display settings, please reply to my private message with your account info and I'll get this looked at for you.
