IIt's 1AM on Dec 22nd and I've been waiting for 11 minutes to activate a new digital box and all I hear on the telephone are ads and cheesy music, if nobody is working, why don't they say so!

Technical support is 24 hours however there may have been a wait queue while you called in, hopefully you were able to get through later to have your digital box activated. The link from gamerguy also would work for self activation if you have purchased the box from a Shaw retail outlet. If you still need assistance activating your digital box, please do let us know.
