Today I had to power off the gateway and portal. Now it is up and running again but I'm getting duplicate channels for everything. For example 29 (hgtv) and 29.1 (TBA) . Why is this happening and more importantly how do I get rid of it?
Coincidently this has happened to me before and is due to a disconnect between the cable card and the dac with regards to channel map. This happened to me when my gateway migrated over to a new dnu map.
Your cable card will need to be re-initialized.
If you can provide your account number to a mod, one of us can get that done for you. Other avenues for quick resolution are calling into the call center, shaw chat, twitter.
I don't recommend using the dct activations webpage as a init and refresh is needed, followed by a reboot of the gateway.

Hey doc, if you know how to go into the installers menu, you can go to the gateway portion and do an EPG update. This fixed mine when after 40 minutes on chat with a support rep didn't solve the problem. Heres how to get into the installer menu if you don't have this information:
Click menu, go to settings, then down to channel list.
Hit "back, next, back, next"
The screen that you get is the installer menu.
