The input/source mode on my Samsung TV is frozen on PC and after numerous different approaches I can't get it to shift to an HDMI 1 input. All I receive is a "you are not connected" signal. Suggestions?
I'd try disconnecting all HDMI inputs. Pull the plug, and wait a minute then plug it back in.
Power it up, then connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI 1 port.
See if that helps.
Have you tried using the original Samsung TV remote to change the input? Is HDMI showing as an option on the list of TV Inputs, but greyed out or not available?
We have tried the original Samsung TV remote with no success. All of HDMI list is greyed out. When you click on one it doesn't hold and reverts back to PC.
This sounds like it could be an issue with your TV and not a problem with the connection between your TV and Shaw digital box specifically. Do you have any other devices connected to your TV, such as a DVD/Bluray player, and are you prevented from switching to these also? You could try powercycling your TV by disconnecting its power for a few minutes.
I bypassed the connection to the receiver and ran an HDMI cable directly from the digital box to the TV. This seemed to restore the HDMI TV input and I am back in business.
Thanks for your help.
