Sportsnet West in Winnipeg is coming up as Sportsnet Ontario showing washington / columbus game
why is West channel showing wrong game on Sportsnet O ?
The Calgary/Philadelphia game is a regional Flames broadcast and cannot be shown in Manitoba. If they're showing an alternate game from SN Ontario, that's probably better than a blackout message.
What are you seeing in the guide currently? We can look into this for you
channel 223 SNWHD Live Calgary @ Philadelphia
bottom right corner shows SNO and is showing Washington vs Columbus
by the time someone figures it out, the proper game will be over
ps. just wondering why someone there not see the guide and see what game is being shown vs what is supposed to be ?
or find out from someone in wpg office
This is correct. Sorry about the delay we were looking to verify the reason for the substitution. It was due to a black out so they substituted a different game on the channel.
So the guide has incorrect marked this game as being viewable but instead broadcasted a feed
NOT in west , but for Sportsnet Ontario which was listed as blacked out
if the game is blacked out in this market, why show us a different blacked out game
and one that does not even include a canadian team playing.
oh well, game is pretty much over
thought in this day and age, blackouts would be a thing of the past
blacking out a game that I have no access to physically go to is pointless
it doesn't sell the game but that is rogers' deal .......
guess , i'll watch more games , not blacked out , on the internet
the very thing they wish to prevent
thanks for your time
We do apologize. The blackouts are done by the NHL and the decision to show the game simulcast would have been by the broadcaster.
again, SNW guide shows Calgary vs Philadelphia
it is again not on
why can you get your goddamn guide update properly ? its really horrible to advertise a game and then
"NOT SHOW IT" but instead.........show curling. the sport that isn't even a sport showing on sports channel
darts and poker will be on after that !! but the guide will show you a hockey game being on
wow, now they aren't even showing curliing
they switched it again I guess.

In order to watch a regional game such as the Calgary Flames on Sportsnet West - you need to be in the local broadcast region for the Calgary Flames (Alberta / Saskatchewan). If you are outside that region then Sportsnet will substitute alternate content.
Our apologies that the guide information is not updated to indicate this. In general if you are outside the broadcast region of the team and it is a regional only broadcast then you won't be able to watch it unless you have the out of market NHL Package, such as: NHL Centre Ice.
You can watch the Flames once the game is broadcast nationally, here is the Sportsnet National Broadcast schedule: http://www.sportsnet.ca/rogers-unveils-2014-15-national-nhl-broadcast-schedule/

you show blackout in effect for TSN regional blackouts (in the guide )
but not Sportnet ones ?
so, for any game we see in the guide for sportsnet (any market) , its a hit or miss whether or not we can actually see the game or not.?
have no clue if you are actually going to show a game or not when it shows in the guide
at least with the tsn 4 and 5 feeds, they show NOTHING
not even what game you are missing
no need to reply back
To clarify - whether to show blackout or substitute other content this that is the decision of the broadcaster (ie whether that is TSN or Sportsnet).
If you want to know if a game is regional broadcast or a national broadcast on Sportsnet, we can help clarify that.
Sportsnet has designated the following channels for national broadcasts: Sportsnet One, Sportsnet 360, FX Canada, CBC, City TV and sometimes they are shown on the Sportsnet West/East/Pacific/Ontario feeds.
The days that Sportsnet shows the games nationally are: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday (teams playing and dates shown here: Rogers Unveils 2014-15 National NHL Broadcast Schedule - Sportsnet.ca)
Also check on game day here: http://www.sportsnet.ca/schedule/ and it will clarify if the game being broadcast today is regional or National.
Here are some of the upcoming Nationally broadcasted dates for March:
Wednesday Night Hockey:
Saturday - Hockey Night in Canada:
Saturday, March 21
Sunday Night Hockey:
