I continue to get the message that the signal has been lost on many of my HD channels and almost always on BITE channel. Occasionally the message will flicker between "not subscribed" and "signal lost". How can this issue be fixed?
I can definitely help out with that. Is it only happening on BITE, or has this happened on any other channels? Please send me a private message with your account information so I can look into a few things.
Hello, can you tell us what set top box you have?
It is an HDPVR 630.
That is a shaw direct PVR correct. I think roryg May be able to help you out as we strictly deal with Shaw Cable.
Rory works under the Shaw Direct Department so he might be able to shed some light.
What is your signal strengh and signal quality on both tuners? I'm not sure how to walk you through that though.
Thanks Rory - I am new to this so can you please tell me how to send you a private message? And it happens on the following classic channels:
As far as I know, the only way (for us) to PM people is to add them as a friend first. (Dumb system BTW!)
Rory should have PM'd you (employees are not hindered like we are) so you could simply respond back through the inbox above.
(Please excuse the following rant.....in a bit of a mood)
These forums really need some work. They lack some of the most basic features a forum should have. Like a "go to the last unread response" option. I've never been part of a forum community without this feature before.....it's odd. Not being able to PM staff directly is just about as dumb as dumb gets on a support forum.
Thank you gamerguy!
You are both welcome, it was my pleasure.
I understand. (Sorry if that came a cross harsh/judgmental towards you directly. It wasn't intended to be.)
Hi gamerguy. No problem at all. I didn't take it personally.
Thanks for the information, minjul. I'll message you and we can look into this further.
gamerguy - Thank you for the heads-up. I'm actually fairly new to this forum myself, and am not part of the Shaw moderator team, so I didn't realise that people could not send PMs without adding the intended recipient as a friend.
