getting message...service temporarily not available....reset reciever, no luck. been going on for a week
Sorry to hear you are having problems with your cables service. Do all of your tvs in the home get this message if you have more than one? If you have any other Shaw services, are they working correctly?
only one tv. basic receiver, the cheapest with basic cable. no other shaw equipment. comes and goes. sometimes all channels other times just some. maybe receiver? it is old.
I just want to clarify what you mean when you say you reset the box. Did you just unplug the power for at least 30 seconds? It sounds like it could be signal related, so I'd recommend reseating the coax cable and checking your splitter if you have one.
Try unplugging the power, and then disconnect the coax cable from the box, outlet and splitter if you have one. Next, reconnect the cables ensuring the connections are tight. After you have done that, you can plug the power back in and check the channels. If you get that message again, please let us know. Thanks!
