I have a new Samsung tablet and I unable to successfully set up my shaw email. The incoming works well but the outgoing says 'unable to connect'?
Ok, what is going on, is you can not use the shawmail server on port 25 unless you are connected to Shaw, Telus will be blocking the outgoing port 25, and the Shaw mail server won't accept outgoing emails from non-Shaw internet IPs.

Which outgoing server and setting are set?
I Have tried different ones....shawmail.vc.shawcable.net
SEcurity type tried none, SSL and TLS
shawmail.vc.shawcable.net should be port 25 No security, no username/password
I Put in your suggested settings and still get "unable to connect to server"?

Near the bottom it has Advanced and then Name Address, does the name end with shawcable.net?
Also, are you able to try setting it up as an Exchange/ActiveSync account type instead?
No it ends with telus.net maybe because my home Internet is with Telus?
