Lost Audio

This is my second time in two months that I have lost the sound on my PVR. Last time when I contacted Shaw they said the cables were no longer good. After fidiling around for two hours I finally was able to get the sound to work. I have been trying the same things this time but I have not recovered my sound. We have two TV`s, the other TV does not have a box. Help me please.
