I am currently renting a suite and when I plugged in my old cable box it is running an hour behind.

Is it just the time that is incorrect, and the box is working otherwise? ie., you are seeing all of the channels you would expect to see?
No picture but all the menus, info, settings, guides are there just off by an hour currently 9.41.
If you have had this box disconnected for an extended period of time, it will likely need to be reactivated. Can you try reactivating it here: Online Activation for new Digital Terminals

For the digital box to work it would need to be activated on an active Shaw account. If you don't have an account with us currently but are interested in setting one up, let us know here and we would be happy to direct message you to provide more information.
After all the years I was a Shaw client, looks like its time to try Telus.
