Sorry for the frustration you're experiencing with the box!
I apologise if you've tried this already but usually a reboot on the box by unplugging the power and waiting a few seconds and then plugging it back in will restore normal function. If that doesn't work, we'll want to have a look and see if there's an issue with the signal to the box. Let us know the result there.
