I am so sick and tired of this, this has been going on intermittently for 2 years!!!! I am ready to leave shaw and go with someone else!!!
If your phone is cutting out, it's likely a issue with either the phone or the signal to the outlet.
First thing to test is the phone itself. If it's a cordless phone, look for a button on the phone or basestation labelled as either "rf" or "channel". Push it a few times to put your phone onto a different wifi channel.
If it still cuts out, next bypass the outlet and put your phone (or phone basestation) direct to the phone terminal itself. Instructions on how to do so can be found at How to connect a phone directly to your Digital Phone Terminal
I've also sent you a private message. If you could respond to the message with your account info, I can take a look at your phone terminal.
you can look into my account if you want, it doesn't make a difference, we have had problems since we moved in here 6 years ago, they keep telling me all sorts of things like lets change the modem lets change your co-ax cables etc, because it's my TV and my phone, funny thing is, my neighbor who also shares my box has the same problems all the time. Finally I got someone to actually listen to me last time I called and he actually tried fixing something on the outside box, which did help for a short time but it's back at it again. At this point I'm so DONE with calling in to complain because nothing ever gets done!!!! Something in that box outside is JUNK and he said Shaw needed to do updates on the lines out there, but what is the likelyhood of that happening. I'm sorry I'm being such a cow but after the HOURS I have wasted waiting on hold for the phone line and the times wasted on having people come here to fix things that never work, I'm just FED UP. My name is Tamara [removed]
