Have you recently unplugged the power or reset the terminal that you are having this issue with? Do you have more than one terminal the residence? If you do can you please try accessing the VOD service with that terminal. Are you able to access it or are you receiving the same message?
Had a chat session with tech support and was able to work through the problem with them. Apparently, VOD doesn't like it if you have any device in the signal chain ahead of the cable box.

Yes! Crap! I knew that. I had that issue a few years ago. VOD doesn't like a splitter in the input line the cable box. You have to remove it.
Sorry. I would have offered that solution if I had remembered it.
Actually, in my case, it doesn't seem to mind a splitter. A VCR on the other hand -- that it didn't like.
I think it's more the quality (or lack thereof) of the splitter, rather than the splitter itself.
