I have worked through the troubleshooting for no sound/audio with a digital box and still have no sound. Works fine for DVD or Netflix and the sound test on the TV is fine but can't get sound to watch TV.
If audio is working through DVD and Netlfix, at least we know the TV isn't on mute.
I don't want to duplicate all of the steps at How to troubleshoot no sound / audio with a Digital Box. But which model of digital box do you have and which cables are you using to connect it to your TV?
Also, if this is a Gateway, do the other portals have audio and it's just the one that is silent?
Yes it's a Gateway and the other portal is fine. It's just the main one that doesn't have sound on TV or anything that's PVR'd. The Shaw guy hooked it up last time they were out several months ago - I think it's a HDMI cable. It was working on Sunday and then last night it's all quiet!
Have you tried testing with a different HDMI cable to see if that helps at all?
