After a momentary power outage, TV can't find signal from cable. What to do?
Cable terminal still on?
Like kevinds suggested, make sure that the digital box is on. After that, check the cable (such as HDMI or coaxial) that is running between the digital box and the TV to ensure that it's still secure on both ends.
Bypass the Shaw Digital Terminal (PVR, HD-PVR) by connecting the cable from the wall-outlet directly into your TV.
Use the TV's remote-control to select its input from "cable" (not "component" nor "HDMI" nor "AUX").
Try channel 2 (or 3 or 4 or 5 or ...) -- you should get a few channels, if your TV did not get "fried".
You may need to use "setup-mode" on your TV to "scan for available channels (2 through 199)".
Return to your "normal" setup (wall-outlet to Shaw box).
Power-off the Shaw box. After a few seconds, power it on, and select channel '2' or '3' or '4'.
Use the TV's remote-control to select its input from "HDMI" or "composite" or "component", as appropriate.
Do you get picture/sound?
