Hi I cannot send or receive message in Windows Live Messager? Can any one help?
Instant messages? Or Email messages?
Emails should be done by your mail client, - Hotmail if live.ca, hotmail.com, live.com, or hotmail.ca addresses, if you are using a non-MSN address, you will need to use whatever mail program to send and receive messages for that address.
As kevinds mentioned, are you having trouble sending e-mails from Windows Live Mail, or are you trying to send instant messages within Windows Live Messenger? If Windows Live Mail is giving you an error when you're trying to send or receive mail, it may be best to review the set-up steps to ensure that your e-mail account's settings are correct. I mentioned that there is now 2 sets of folders on the left hand side after what I did yesterday
once downloaded 18 something and the other said 380 something?
The 646 error you are coming across is a general Microsoft Windows Installer update error, and it doesn't look like this is related to your troubles you are having sending/receiving email. For more information on the 646 error, Microsoft has an official support document you can read here.
In the link that Tegan provided for Windows Live Mail setup, there are two configuration methods. If you are using a wireless internet connection, please try Configuration 2 - Laptop Computer. I am also assuming here that that the problem is with sending and receiving e-mail from your Shaw email account, and not instant messages. If this is not the case please be sure to let us know, as the information we are providing will not resolve a problem with sending/receiving instant messages.
