Any reason why Shaw Cable disables the USB ports on the Hitron wireless router? Is there a way to get it enabled?
Re: Does Shaw enable the USB ports on Hitron wireless router?
The USB ports on the Hitron modem are disabled as we do not support the advanced settings/functions that would come with their use. At this time there is no way to enable them. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Would cause support more grief...
Same applies to all the modems with USB ports, with the exception of the SB5101 modems, as that is a device port (type A), not a host port
kevinds - the SB5101 has a network interface card with a USB access port installed in it. It only supports a few Mbps though so was never really used.
Yes, and wasn't very stable either
That goes for a lot of early USB devices IMO.
haha very true corbin...
I held out for a long time before moving to USB keyboard and mice.. The PS2 connections were, I found anyways, higher quality.. Even near the end
Retrieving data ...
