My old laptop crushed. How can I get my old shaw email back in my new laptop?

I can get my current email from webmail and Outlook but not the old mails in the folders.
There are two different setups for emails:
One that is synced to the server and any changes you make in webmail or outlook will be the same. This is called IMAP and it works with your mail content on our servers. This means that moving, sending or deleting tasks are performed on the server and your other devices and Shaw Webmail are all kept in sync. A small cache (copy) of your email is kept on your device limiting off-line access.
The other only affects your emails on that device and will not affect other devices or webmail. I believe you may have been using the latter, which is called POP/SMTP. The emails and activity that you currently see available in webmail, are the emails left remaining as the changes you made were done on a private device no longer synced with our servers.
I am afraid that in this case, any work done on previous device is lost and the emails you have currently are the copies available. You could setup your Outlook for IMAP so that it any folders and changes you make appear in webmail and other devices.
What version of Outlook are you now using?
I have always thought shaw mail is going though the server and my mails are kept. It is disturbing that I would lost all the emails for the last few years. Any chances to get them back.
I am using 2013 outlook version.
