shaw pvr constant need for reboot

I have a Motorola DCX3510-M, and I have to reboot it once or twice a week. It records wrong times, stops recording before end of show(s), misses series, loses sound, etc. etc. Although shaw reps have been out many times, they admit it can't be fixed, as the problem is with the pvr itself. Is Shaw going to get a better machine, or at the minimum do SOMETHING  about this one?
