When we turn to any channel on one of our cable boxes, the message "Authorization Failed". Comes up. How can we fix this?
Do you know the model of the cable box? Firstly, I suggest that you unplug the unit from the power and reconnect all the coax cable connections (back of box, at wall and both ends of the splitter if one is used). Also, please look for any damage or kinks to the wire.

The model number on the front of the cable box is DCX 3200 - M.
I have unplugged the power to the cable box and disconnected the coax cable. After reconnecting them both, the same error message occurs.
The guide shows the current television programs so some information is obviously getting through the cable box to the television.

When we had this problem we unplugged that box from power. Left it for about 10 minutes (shorter periods of time didn't work) and unscrewed the cable and rescrewed it all back in. Didn't work the first couple of times but did eventually after we left the TV on for a while it seemed to figure itself out.
