We have to go through the list of programs to be recorded, telling it not to record about 15 episodes per week.
Yeah that's really annoying.
It's because the episodes have a generic description in the guide and not labelled correctly with "new" or "repeat", so the PVR records it "just in case".
Only way to fix it is if they update the guide with the proper info. This issue happens with several shows and has been an issue for some time. I'm talking years!
Having recently cut the cord I no longer have this annoyance. (Along with other annoyances!)
One thing to add to gamerguy's post is that it gets recorded for the customer as if a new episode is not marked new. It is better to have the customer delete a recording then have them complain that their PVR did not record a show.
