I have Broadband 50 and when using speedtest, it caps between 5 and 7mbps.
im paying for this service, why arent i getting the correct speeds?
Start by going though this document,
If anything helps, let me know, if not, we can move to other things.
Ive done all the things listed, but my dl speed is still the same.
Is your modem bridged? Or in router/gateway mode?
Is it allways 5-7 mbps or do the speeds you get fluxuate during the day?
i dont know what "modem bridged" means. my router is in default mode. and my speed doesnt seem to fluxuate during that day, its still between 5-7 mbps.
Bridged means, your modem is just a modem instead of being a WiFi router too.
If it is constantly between 5-7, and doesn't fluxuate higher, I would try to get an emloyee to re-provision your modem, it might be stuck on normal-high-speed speed setting, not common, but I've seen it a few times...
What upload speed are you getting during your tests?
yah, my modem is from shaw, a wifi modem/router. upload speed is 1.38
Upload is faster than normal high-speed would be, so it is likely provisioned correctly.
Would get an employee to check the signal on the modem, and maybe node saturation too, as the next step.
It looks like you've checked just about everything you can on your end so I'll send you a private message to look into this further.
