Where do I find the setting to automatically delete messages from Webmail once they have been downloaded to Outlook 2013? Do I do this in Webmail or in Outlook? I have looked unsuccessfully to find this.
This option can be found under File > Account Settings > Account Settings. You should see the screen below:
After you clicked on Account Setting, it should then open a new window with further tabs and options:
Under Email, highlight your email account from the list shown, and click on Change. It will then open another window, that'll give you more information about your current incoming and outgoing settings:
From this menu, you should see a More Settings. Clicking on that should open another window called "Internet E-Mail Settings". From this window, click on Advanced, and you will see the option to keep/delete emails underneath Delivery
Hopefully that helps!
I guess this is a little different than in previous versions of Outlook. This just lets you select how many days messages to stay on the server. Previously, there was an option for them to be automatically deleted from Webmail once they were downloaded. In any event, this was helpful, Ken, so thanks.
If you uncheck the box that says leave a copy of the messages on server it will remove them from Webmail once you've received them in to outlook.
