Why can I not connect to my Cisco modem ?

Today I took delivery of a new Cisco dpc3848v modem/router. for the first couple of hours it worked great. Now for no obvious reason I can not connect to it through 192.168.0.1 - my browser just times out.  I have tried rebooting it by unplugging it, then I did a reset on it. I have tried difference browsers - nothing works.

 

Additionally prior to the reset I was getting great speeds, 60mbps. since the reset I now only get 20mbps.

 

Any ideas what is going on ??
