Why is it that shaw can give us duplicate HD channels here in Sault Ste Marie but can't give us the HD channel we have been missing for like ever?
If you are missing channels it could be the boxes are not MPEG4 capable. More information on MPEG4 can be found on our community link: Guide to MPEG4 Channels and Digital Cable Boxes

I got a gateway system so my box is compatiblle.it just that shaw keeps giving us the excuse that were getting the missing HD channel but can't give us an eta

A lot of us have been complaining for years on these forums about the large number of channels that are available to most Shaw customers but not in Sault Ste. Marie. The main reason given is the lack of band width available for new channels here.
I've been told that network upgrades need to be done before we get new channels, yet they won't give us an ETA on when these upgrades will be done. It's obvious we're not a priority for Shaw.
I thought it was a joke when the reason given for the latest price increase was to pay for network upgrades that were done. We haven't seen any benefits to the upgrades being done so why should our bills go up.
Of course we never get any straight answers on these forums. I may need to start complaining to the CRTC next.
