I have one question (though it does lead to other related questions): please tell me specifically why my monthly
services bill has gone from $81.90 to $117.00 (an increase of 43%) in the 28
months from April 1, 2013 to Aug. 1, 2015.
I am getting totally fed up with Shaw's incremental increases, which
still leave me with the same lack of affordable, individual and intelligent choice
in television offerings.
My television habits are now reduced to watching the evening
BC and national news, plus a few hours of non-commercial programs on Knowledge
Network and PBS each week, and a little CBC programming. The rest of it is mostly crap that I never

Could it be that Shaw profits are a far greater priority for the
corporation than offering unbundled services tailored to the needs of its
customers? Nothing happens to change
that mentality until the government and the CRTC eventually listen to Canadians,
and tell us the future may get friendlier for cable subscribers. Of course, the devil is in the details, and I
remain skeptical about future prospects.
I'm ready to pack in my cable service and try watching my
few programs on the computer. Is there a
