Is there any faster way instead of calling and waiting for like an hour for them?
Is it a Shaw provided modem/router? Or a 3rd party one you bought on your own?
If it is one your bought on your own, unplug the power from your modem and router,
Plug the power back into your modem only, wait until you get 4 solid green lights (if you get a different set of lights flashing reply with what they are).
Once you have the 4 solid lights, make sure the network cable from the modem to your router goes into the Internet or WAN port, then plug the power back into the router.
After that, follow the instructions that came with your router for setting it up, Internet type DHCP/Automatic setting, with No MAC cloning, if it asks.
After that, if it doesn't work, will need much more details on what is going on...
Modem model, router brand/model, is your modem briged?
Does your computer get an IP address from your new router, and a bunch of other troubleshooting steps. You may be better off talking to the support team for the router though (if it isn't a Shaw one)
