I have no need for the voice mail service from Shaw since I have an Answering Machine. Do I have to phone to discontinue or can I do it on line.
If you have our add-on package with Voicemail and Call Waiting (or if you have Full phone which includes both) and you do use Call Waiting, you can disable Voicemail by signing into the Phone Portal at http://phone.shaw.ca, clicking Features at the top and then switching Voicemail to Off. If you don't have a login yet, click Create An Account to set one up.
If you have the Voicemail and Call Waiting add-on package though and don't need either, let me know and I'll help you remove it.
You can quickly set the number of rings to 6, but turning off the voicemail I think needs an employee to do.
Thanks for the answers. I wanted to discontinue Voice Mail to save money, since I never use it but I see that Voice Mail and Call Waiting come as a package.
