Why does my wifi connection keep cutting out?
If your wifi is cutting out, it could be due to a number of issues. For starters, the next time you lose wifi, take a look at the modem (or router). Do you still have full lights or does it look like it's rebooting? If it's rebooting, it would be a signal issue to the modem. Good start there would be to reconnect the coaxial cable on the modem and the wall outlet and reconnect it.
But if the modem/router is still online, we need to look at wifi interference. We have a great guide at WiFi Interferencethat goes into detail on what can cause this. For example, the wifi signal might be blocked by metal or concrete, or it might be affected by a stereo speaker or cordless phone.
We also have a guide at WiFi Connectivity Troubleshooting that lists many useful steps. Feel free to get back to us with more details if you still have issues after going through this guide.
