We bought a new Samsung HD Tv and the HDMI connections (recommended) do not work. Trouble shooting offers 2 solutions..1. HDMI cable may not be "certified" but what does that mean???
2. Contact SHAW to "upgrade the HDMI"...how do we do that?
Problem solved...I went to the set-up menu and found options for "input connections" and "activated" the proper HDMI port. I found that tip when I was browsing through "types of cable connections" and it said that you had to use HDMI cables (as your "source" for HD. The old coax connection woprked as soon as we connected...but the pictiure quality was on ly fair.
Yeah, you won't get HD using the old coax cable from the terminal to your TV.
My suggestion is to remove it, so it doesn't accidently get used again.
