Simul Ring does NOT ring on cell phone when my home number (780)*** is dialed without +1 in front, but rings when dialed as 1(780)***. Is there any solution for this? Cell is on WIND.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Thanks. When you set up the numbers for Simultaneous Ring through Phone Portal, have you tried entering the 1 for the cell number you list? If not, try this, then test calling your home number without dialing the 1 and see if it includes the cell.
Thank you for reaching out to us. Simultaneous ring should work while dialing in without the +1. One of our experts made a test call to his phone service at home with simultaneous ring and it works without the +1. Is your cell a local number in the 780 area code? It might be an extended long distant call depending on the cell network. For example, I would need to call your home number with a +1780 as my cellphone is a 604 local.

Yes, my home phone is (780)4**** while my WIND cell is (780)6**** and for sure
Any solutions appreciated very much.
So just to be clear, when you dial your cell phone from your home phone with a regular call, you need to enter the 1 correct?
Shaw Phone has a feature called Simultaneous Ring. When someone dials my home number 1+(780)4*** my home phone rings as well as my cell phone (780)6****. However if caller dials my home phone without 1+ then my cell phone does not ring, i.e., Shaw Simul Ring does not transfer to my cell phone.
You are da man! Thanks your solution worked. How? I have no clue why Shaw dialogue box cannot do this!
