Need help finding a contractor/electrician to install a new cable outlet in our townhome.
Because it's a strata, we can't poke holes in the outer walls.
Any recomendations would be helpful.
Our Shaw techs can also install outlets and may not need to poke holes in the outer walls. Did you confirm with your strata that you cannot poke holes by chance and know what is allowed in terms of new cable outlet installs and what is not? We can check the info with our tech team to see if its something we could do or not.
We've had a couple of techs out and the only way to install the new outlet is to go through the outer wall (which is not allowed) or fish the cable through the existing drywall. Neither tech said they were able to do that. Everyone I've spoken to on the phone has stated that Shaw does not do that.
That is correct, we can only do the installs of outlets thru outside facing walls by drilling thru. For any work on fishing the cables thru you would need to contact a third party cable installer to do that work. Once it is done we can get it hooked up tho!
Thanks for the responses.
What I am looking for is someone who has been in the same predicament as I am, and found someone to do the job.
