Gateway XG-1 issue

Hi there,

     I bought a new Gateway XG-1 PVR a couple weeks ago.  We only have the PVR - no portals in the house.  I like a number of the features relative to my old PVR but I am having regular issues with the Guide rarely populating in a timely manner.  Often the whole screen is just blank and it does not update for several minutes.  This occurs both when paging down to the next set of channels and when scrolling right to the later time slots.  From what I can gather this is a known n issue.  My question is:


Is this something that Shaw is actively working on fixing?  If so, what is the timeline?


I have 30 days from purchase date to return my Gateway box, which I likely will if this issue is going to be ongoing for the foreseeable future.
