XG1 Swap

Good day all.

 

I have the original Gateway box (although is been swapped several times over the years for hardware issues). I had it swapped out a few months back because of the guide issues we now know are caused by software.

 

Since I have had it replaced, the replacement (which I assume is a refurb) had been flakey. The Portal randomly loses connection, my PVR Expander randomly disconnects, recordings are corrupt in spots, and the fan is running loud (to the point of being obnoxious) all the time.

 

I have disconnected my Expander to see if that is the issue. No change. I have rebooted the Gateway several times. No change.

 

I didn't have any of these issues before the hardware swap, and my signals are all good (they checked that last time). So I know it's hardware.

 

Since I assume they will swap it again, is it possible to upgrade to the XG1?
