Just checking if anyone on Vancouver Island (Duncan) is having issues with internet/wifi dropping on a frequent basis. Mine is dropping on an average of 12-15 times a day the last few days.
Hey there kirby.f997
Sorry if you're seeing that kind of behaviour! I'm not seeing anything area-related, so I'm thinking this may be either a modem or signal issue.
What modem have you got? Is it one of our wireless models?
Is the trouble you're having wireless only or with wired devices too?
Let me know! We'll get it figured out for you.
It's the older style Cisco router (the modem that was distributed before the new Dual Band modem was issued).I have checked everything else that involves wifi, and even wired connections, and it all drops out for a few seconds, then comes back on....then drops out, bla bla bla
Sounds like a likely signal issue in that case, so let's check your account.

Does anyone have a paperclip I could borrow. I need to do a pinhole reset on my modem, and I can't find the one I was using
I have been having same problem the last 2 days. Connection keeps dropping and then starting again after a minute or even less. This is very frustrating. Also noticing more pixel freezes on tv lately too....not sure if this is related.
If it is relating to pixelation can you please attempt the steps in How to troubleshoot poor picture quality / pixelation to make sure all the coax and splitters are set in tightly? Please also take similar steps with the internet signal. You can refer to steps here: How to troubleshoot slow Internet speeds for solutions. Let us know how it goes.

those connections were all good. not sure why this disruption is happening...just happened again for 30 seconds so could not read ur response until now.
Do you have any splitters you are able to replace between the modem and tv box? Let us know.

I live in NE Calgary and since I had them enable the wireless port on my phone modem (about two weeks ago) I have encountered this endlessly. Sometimes only for 5 minutes and sometimes for 30 minutes or more. It's really beginning to piss me off...
