My philips tv no longer recognizes my gateway

Hey there. I was watching tv this evening and made a change on my shaw arris box on my 32 inch Philips tv.

I changed the resolution and then it went blank and the tv message was to change the screen resolution. so I tried looking at the tv menu, nothing there. I unplugged the arris box and reconnected it to the tv, and nothing. I tried resetting the Arris box and it did nothing. Have I missed a step? Is there a solution out there?
