How do I limit bandwidth on connected devices with the hitron cgnm 2250?
Good question! It's actually not something we cover in our support scope so to be honest I'm not sure it's an option that is available. I did some digging and wasn't able to find any info on this, but perhaps someone else on Community has been successful in setting this up and can help you out. Sorry about that!
My recommendation would be to use your own router flashed with Tomato firmware and having the Hitron put into bridged/passthrough mode.
You can buy a router and flash it yourself or buy one with Tomato already on it.
The options are vast in comparison to Shaw modem/router combo's. (I particularly like the bandwidth usage monitoring/logging along with the knowledge I have full control of my hardware.)
If you you want to flash the BIOS yourself just make sure you check the router compatibility chart to make sure it will work with whatever router you may use. I can't provide a direct link as it's against forum rules but Google "tomato router compatibility" and it should be the second hit. ("Tomato by Shibby » Router List")
