I just got a Hitron CGNM-2250 modem and I was attempting to enable the Guest Wifi mode. I was successful at getting this to work from the factory default settings. I used an iOS device to select the SSID of the Guest WiFi hotspot. It then takes me to a Guest webpage where I enter in the password for the Guest access. This works successfully.
I then changed the LAN Setup "Private LAN IP Address" to something like 192.168.195.1 and set a DHCP range from 192.168.195.20 to 126.96.36.199, leaving the Subnet maask at 255.255.255.0.
I then go back to my iOS device and select the Guest WiFi SSID. I get full signal bars, but the Guest webpage password screen does not come up, nor can I access the internet.
Could someone tell my why changing the "Private LAN IP Address" to something other than the default 192.168.0.1 breaks the guest access?
If anyone has the Hitron CGNM-2250, could they please test to see if this happens on their setup?
