A word of caution...

My mom called in to cancel her phone service with Shaw due to financial reasons and the fact a land line is redundant these days.  The very helpful phone rep gave her a "deal" for a few months to keep the land line.  Mom was singing the praise of Shaw to the whole family.  I was cautious though and told her to pay attention to her next bill.  Sadly, I was right.  Shaw's idea of a "deal" was to cut her internet service in half.  So now she has a phone she doesn't need and inadequate internet.  Well done Shaw.


We are currently helping her migrate all her accounts that are tied to her Shaw email since this is the only reason she didn't cancel all her Shaw services on the spot.  I don't know if she will give them another chance, she Is very upset.  If she does decide to move to another provider, I will be following out of principle.  How you guys sleep at night is beyond me.
