I am really disappointed with Shaw. I had set up War & Peace (2016 Miniseries) to record on A&E Mondays. The PVR now shows "The First 48" repeats! WHAT HAPPENED?
Hi darkzelda. I checked the guide and it looks like A&E is doing a "The First 48" marathon that day. It's possible that initially when A&E send our guide company the guide info for that day, they did plan on doing a "War & Peace" marathon but then did a last minute change.
I confirmed on their website at A&E TV Show Schedule - A&E that it will be "The First 48" that they plan on airing.
Thanks Lance, I also checked the programming on A&E across Canada and the USA, and yes, it appears that they have changed the lineup. I apologize, as I realize now that it was out of Shaw's control.
It appears that Bell (eastern) will air War & Peace on their Life Channel (335) which is equally confusing to me according to this article:
Lily James stars in 'War and Peace' mini-series | TV | Entertainment | Toronto S
Regardless, I am disappointed that I won't be able to view a highly anticipated miniseries.
According to the listings over at zap2it it looks like A&E Canada will be running " The First 48 " marathons the next 2 Mondays.
You could always try sending an e-mail to A&E Canada and see what they say. I sent them a question last year about the show " Nightwatch " and they answered pretty quickly.
E-mailed A&E Canada on the 31st....................still no reply .

Well that's only 2 business days so that's not too bad. I'm sure you will get a reply by the end of this week.
Hey darkzelda - I just noticed that War & Peace is now listed in the VOD section. Just go to the VOD section, then go to TV and then go to A & E. Right now they've got the first 4 episodes up in 2 parts. I guess Shaw will have the last part ( episodes 5 and 6 ) up sometime after next Monday. So there you go - problem solved. You're welcome.
Thanks bostonbob...............problem 1/2 solved as I had the series set to record (my original post) and unfortunately you can't pvr VOD. Hopefully, Shaw will leave the series up for awhile, as finding time is sometimes difficult. At the moment I'm preparing to appeal my property assessment scheduled for next week.
All 6 episodes are now available on Shaw VOD. Did you get a response from A&E Canada yet ??? It sure looks like A&E Canada will not be airing this show as they have more " The First 48 " marathons airing the next couple of Mondays.
Yes, I did get a reply............we'll wait and see Something tells me, I doubt it. I did look at A&E's facebook page awhile back, there was a lot of disappointed people. I'm still busy and haven't been able to watch 1 episode on VOD. I hope they keep it on for awhile. Thanks again and sorry I didn't reply sooner.
Thanks for watching with us!
For any and all updates be sure to check out our website for all things War and Peace http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/war-and-peace
Kind regards,A&E Support
Well, according to Lifetime Canada's facebook page, they didn't pick up the series....
I received a message last night, however, the post is not here:
Well now it appears that War & Peace on VOD has been replaced with Hoarders and The First 48. LOVELY, this is hardly ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT!
A note to the person that posted: Be care about ordering the series on Amazon.ca, the one listed appears to be the UK version (15) and may be PAL not NTSC, to which you would need a Region Free DVD player to view.
Also be aware that the older series starring Anthony Hopkins was recently released in stores, not to be confused with this one.

War & Peace is still showing up in the VOD section on my Gateway.
Okay, I don't have a gateway. On my 3400 dvr it was under VOD/TV shows/A&E.
Now you have to search for it in VOD, I used "peace". All 6 episodes are there.

Quit wasting time here and go and watch them before they are actually removed from the VOD section.
