How do I reset a portal to default settings, I filtered my channels along time ago and shaw has changed the lineup a bunch since then. Checking all the boxes will take forever.
I'm actually not 100% on this since most people usually want to keep their settings as is... but you can try Resetting the Shaw Gateway portal using the reset button located on the back. If that doesn't do it, you may need to manually add the channels back.
That is for a soft reboot of the portal and not what I want.
I filtered my channels long ago and shaw moves the channels around, possibly moving a channel I pay for into a position I blocked. Shaw seems to have no easy way to tell exactly what channels are on my account. Non that I can see in online customer care.
Managing channels with the portals is slow and frustrating, I just want to default the portal so I go back to guessing if I have that channel or not. Which flipping around the guide to find these channels when I actually just want to watch sucks.
Could you not just set it up once in the Gateway app, then sync the settings/channels to the Portals, overwriting the ones already stored in each Portal?
