I can't see two channels (3,14) with my new DVR box; just get black screen with no message. All other channels and features working fine. Have tried re-boot by unplugging box and cable cord, but these two basic channels still not working.
Shaw DVR/PVR? Or one that isn't from Shaw?
HD TV? Or SD TV?
It's a Shaw DVR, HD TV. Thanks,
Ok, what cables do you have hooked up,
Seeing channes 3 and 14, is this using the Shaw guide you see these channels? Or when you use channel up on the TV, you get something on 3, and something on 14?
we're using hdmi cables. We see the channels using the shaw guide (but nothing on the screen when we go there) and nothing comes up also when we directly type in the channel
Sorry, I read that backwards, you can't see 13 and 3, I was reading it as you can only see...
Likely DNU upgrade and the techs missed removing your tier traps, if you've checked the coax cable from the wall to your PVR, tight both ends, no other equipment it passes through (splitter/powerbar).
Yes,checked the coax cable and tightened it at both ends...no splitter or powerbar. So, what should we do now?
Are you seeing any error message? Or any indication on what is going on?
Do you only have the one PVR? Or do you have other cable terminals from Shaw as well? If so, is another one working properly?
Reactivate the terminal Online Activation for new Digital Terminals
Book a service call.
No error message or any other indication of what is going on. Only one PVR and no other cable terminals.
Which model is it?
I am having the same issue, however it's more than two channels! I I was receiving all the channels on the same TV before I installed the Digital Box (PVR).
Sorry to hear that you are having the same problem as tntcom. I assume that you have already tried the troubleshooting suggested in this thread, so I have sent you a direct message to check your equipment further. Please check your Inbox at the top ^.
Thank you for trying these suggestions. I will run some additional tests on your equipment, please check your Inbox at the top ^.
I'm glad we were able to get this working via direct message tntcom, it looks like your cable box just needed a quick refresh in this case.
