I set up a shaw email on my iPhone according to the instructions on the web-site. WhenI send a email the reciever sees Mail Service as the sender and not my name.
That's a bit odd! So to be clear, the sender name shows literally as 'Mail Service'? Have you tried sending yourself an email to see if you're seeing the same sender name?
I believe irrespective of how you've set up your client (exchange activesync is what you've most likely used), your sender name should be able to be altered on your device itself. You could try checking to see what's listed as your name by going to
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>select your email account
The name field should be there.
Let us know what you find and we'll go from there.
I couldn't find anywhere to change the name using Exchange so I deleted the account and changed it to a POP account. There I could enter a name and it all seems to work now.
Ah okay, that's a way to fix it for sure. If you wanted to go back to Exchange, we could look into it for you further.
