Sorry to hear you may be having troubles with the WiFi on your Shaw Modem. Please note not all devices can connect/detect a 5.0 gHz network. If this device is confirmed compatible and the 5.0 gHz network option is missing from your list of available networks, I would recommend first power cycle your modem. How To power cycle a Shaw modem and router
If this does not work, it may be required for you to complete a factory reset (pin-hole reset) of your modem/router to it's default settings. See the "Restore Your Modem" steps on https://community.shaw.ca/docs/DOC-1078#solution3

iphone 6 so yes comparable. As I said it used to show up and now it doesn't. I have power cycled I will try a reset and report back. Thanks
