When I try to post a reply using Edge, as soon as I type a space, the page re-loads. I am using build 14328. It also happened on previous builds. Regular W10 works OK. The problem only happens with replies.
I'm posting now with the consumer version of Win10 and Edge. It works just fine. I'll report the problem to Microsoft with Build 14328.
So, from my understanding, when you try to post a reply on community on your Microsoft Edge the site reloads? Are you seeing this across different browsers or just a specific browser? If I misunderstood, please let me know!
This only happens When I am using an Insider Program version of Windows 10. And only with the Edge browser. I am using Build 14328 now with Chrome and it works just fine. The public release of Win10 also work OK with Edge.
If you don't mind me asking, do you have any special settings setup on Edge or is it on the default settings? Can you reset the browser and test things? If you still continue to notice troubles after we'll investigate this further. Glad to hear Chrome is working well with the site!
I just noticed, this only happens when a space or punctuation is typed after an alphanumeric character has been typed.
Have you tried this with any other online forums or anyplace that requires you to enter info? It would be interesting to see if it's only with our site or with all sites.
I have posted on one other forum without any problems. My wife had to get Bell Satellite TV. If only they had a forum! The only good thing about Bell is the PVR user interface. Their myPVR desktop app has been down for a month. Their live chat only works during East coast business hours! I don't think their PVR phone app works with any of their current phones. The last update to that website was about 4 years ago. Keep up the good work Shaw!
Thanks Jim, and thanks for the update! I'm sure whatever is causing this issue in the latest build with Edge will be resolved after reported. The forum service we're using is fairly popular.
