All in sudden, the TV has "No Signal", what happen ?
Usually means the TV has changed channels (is no longer on channel 3 or 4) or the TV has changed inputs, on HDMI2 or Component instead of HDM1 for example
And there is an " online mode" under component, then can' t detect any channels at all. No Tv channels now.
What cables are used between your cable terminal and your TV? Screw-on coax? Component? Composite? HDMI? No terminal at all?
It is coaxial cable connected with the hd box dcx3200, We have the tech from shaw checked last month, less than a month the tv has no signal nothing has been changed, the box and tv both new in dec 2012. Not sure is the box problem, or shaw has cut off the channel, this is the second time already.
It is weird to have a coaxial cable connected between the TV and DCX3200, especially if both are relatively new....
If it is connected with a coaxial cable, use the buttons on the front of your TV, channel up or down, confirm channels 3 and 4 both say No Signal.
The coaxial cable going to the DCX 3200 from the cable source is good, what kind of cable connects the 3200 to the TV? The 3200 only has Cable IN, there is no coaxial out to TV. What does the front panel of the 3200 show? Is the power light on?
Thanks Ali, I should have realized that... I keep forgetting the DCX3200 and the Portals don't have RF out...
Np Kevinds, thanks for your help here.
Some of the new boxes are having problems receiving the update sent to them yesterday causing these problems. Lots of people are complaining of the same thing; hopefully it will be rectified soon.
