More issues with DNS servers

I keep getting disconnected every 5-10 min and can't reconnect usually until 5-10 min after I power cycle my router. I have the hitron. Latest power cycle just leaves the modem in a state of flashing lights with no blue connection lights. I had this issue with the previous model of modem.

 

I I guess I'll just use my internet service tomorrow if it's working. How do I get downtime credited back to my account?
