McAfee has marked two important emails as spam. Real spam has never been caught. I will send you the emails marked as spam so you can see how poorly this software works.
At the top of Outlook 2016, do you see a new menu/toolbar for McAfee AntiSpam? According to a few threads on McAfee's Community Forums Outlook 2016 should be supported. However there are users mentioning that it only works for POP3 accounts. So if the email account you are using is configured as IMAP or ActiveSync (Exchange), many functions within this toolbar may not be working. Hopefully this will be in an update coming in the future from McAfee.
If unable to use the toolbar within Outlook 2016 to make changes, few options are avaialble within McAfee's SecurityCenter menus. Within the Anti-Spam options (found under Web and Email Protection), you will find options to adjust the Spam Protection Level (how aggressive/picky McAfee is regarding emails it chooses to filter) and the option to add a Friends List (users it will ignore and always allow through the filter). The Friends List does give an option to "Import" your contacts (found at the bottom).
Hopefully one of these options will work for you, instead of simply disabling the McAfee AntiSpam option.
We're sorry to hear that the email spam protection portion of McAfee Internet Security is not quite living up to your expectations. This is a feature that you can disable if you'd like. In order to do this, you can take the following steps:
Let us know if that does the trick.
Hi jimbob82 ,
There is also a second option within McAfee Anti-Spam. However this is slightly different for each email client it supports. Which email client (eg Outlook, Thunderbird, etc) are you using with McAfee Anti-Spam?
I'm using Outlook 2016.
