If a customer has a modem that constantly needs to be reset, will Shaw replace it free of charge?
If a modem is in constant need of being reset, we would be happy to book a service call and have a technician take a look at it. Swapping it out would be at the discretion of the technician.
Ok thanks. I think she just wanted to bring it in to you and exchange it. She isn't comfortable with people in her house when she's home alone. Would she be turned away if she did?

It would be best for them to reach out to us here first, or to any technical support member. In many cases we're willing to note the account so that the modem can be swapped. However if there's reason why a modem swap may not resolve issues (such as poor RF signal through the coax line), we may still heavily recommend a service call visit.
