I have a Synology NAS connected shaw network. I can't use DS photo to access the NAS through internet. How do I setup in SBG6782?
Hey there yipyee11,
Congrats on your NAS purchase! We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues using it while using it with the SBG6782. We'd love to offer some advice, but we'd need more details in regards to what specifically is not functioning. Have you run through the set up/user manual for the NAS itself to see if you are able to get it going? If so, what specifically are you trying to do that's not working? Let us know.
I have been using it for a while. But I was using Telus before and it works. Now I did the same setting in my NAS. The connect testing in my NAS is work. But just can't connect. I tried Port Forwarding in SBG6782.
Thanks for following up, we are not experts in this kind of third party product but the best option to start would be to go through the set up for the device again. What can happen is they are set up to work with one modem and when you change it they can't quite figure out how to connect to the new one.
Running through the network set up again should get it communicating with our modem. Hopefully that helps!
I find the Synoloy UPnP wizard is a bit flaky. I suggest you manually port forward the DS Photo ports, or use your own router with the IP Passthrough function of the SBG6782.
